Synopsis
Raïf hopes that his meeting with the political editor of “l’Indépendant Belge” and a threat to shut down the paper will make sure no inappropriate articles will appear in the future. He also attaches a newspaper clipping in which he denies the tendentious news concerning the Monastir incident.

- Newspaper clipping (Dans l’armée turque, 13-07-1908, l’Indépendance Belge, Raïf informs on the incident concerning the mob of deserted soldiers who terrorize the Monastir region. They killed the General who received orders to pursue them and consequently great indignation broke out. Raïf declares in the article that more attention then necessary was given to this incident.)
