Synopsis

Personnelle et très confidentielle.

A letter to the secretary-general of the Foreign Ministry, concerning the appointment of a new Ottoman consul, to succeed the late Sir Allard. Istanbul has chosen Sir Delecourt, a Belgian citizen, but Carathéodory strongly opposes this nomination, refering to the latter's dubious reputation and his contacts with Lorand. In P.S. he refers to his future mission to Denmark and Sweden-Norway.
