Letters from the Imperial Legation in Brussels (1849–1914)
Synopsis
Despite having sent a confidential letter, the newspapers "De Standaard", "Le pigare", en "Le gazette de Cologne" have made wrongly accusations concerning an alleged conspiracy of 50 people, of which 28 were sentenced to death. They mention torture of Armenians by the empire. This is a malevolent campaign and he is taking an opposite attitude to influence the leading newspapers.
