Synopsis
Carathéodory informs that after his intervention “l’Indépendance Belge” changed its attitude towards the Macedonian question. The newspaper published a favourable article stating that no one in Europe supports the Bulgarians and emphasizing the stability and security in the East thanks to the Ottoman Empire.

A la suite de mes démarches « l’Indépendance » modifiant sa façon d'envisager la question macédonienne publie dans son numéro du cinq juillet un article très-favorable disant que personne en Europe ne prendra fait et cause pour les Bulgares et que la Turquie représente en Orient un état de choses de stabilité et de sécurité digne d’être apprécié.
