Carathéodory sends the article from “l’Etoile Belge” together with a copy of his letter to the newspaper. The publication must have been a mistake since the paper was always in favour of the Ottoman Empire. He hopes they will admit and wrote that such working method and terms are indecent.

He asks why the paper decided to publish it now and points out that in spite of the freedom of the press every newspaper has to respect some principles and boundaries. He asks to publish this reaction in the newspaper.)
