Carathéodory sends an article of “l’Independant Belge” concerning an Ottoman mission to Zanzibar mentioned in European newspapers. Carathéodory attends further instructions on this case.

Therefore he sends a mission to Zanzibar to keep an eye on the German and British actions in the country. This solution unites politics and religion.)
