Several newspapers published an Ottoman report concerning German ambassador Radowitz. The report states that Radowitz asked for Ottoman support in the Mediterranean and Red Sea to suppress the Anglo-German treaty. The Sublime Porte would have refused for three absurd reasons. Carathéodory asks how to react on this and thinks that sending the Ottoman fleet in support could make a good impression on the public opinion.
