Incident Lavigerie - 3 annexes

Carathéodory’s letter against cardinal Lavigerie published in “L’Indépendance Belge” received a replby by the cardinal himself, published in the same newspaper. The cardinal did not apology for his remarks against Islam and the Ottoman Empire but uses an even harsher language than before. Carathéodory, in turn, sent a polemical answer to the newspaper and waits for the cardinal to respond, but admits that he will no longer reply it. There were new verbal attacks and Carathéodory asks how to react against them. He also tells that the cardinal himself is being attacked from several sides, while he himself receives lots of support in his incident with the cardinal.
