Sermon du Cardinal Lavigerie; attaques contre les musulmans - Une annexe
Carathéodory delivers a report on the anti-slavery campaign of cardinal Lavigerie. Lavigerie spoke in the Cathedral of St. Gudula to important officials and was rather harsh for Belgium and its treatment of black people in the Congo. The cardinal also calls for a crusade against the slave traders, which according to him are all Muslim. He claims that for all Muslims slavery is a right, almost a duty, and that they consider black people less then human. Carathéodory asks advice in how to react on these statements.
