Letters from the Imperial Legation in Brussels (1849–1914)
Synopsis
Assim Pacha informs Carathéodory that on the 3th of August the newspaper “L’Indépendance Belge” published a correspondence from Paris with the false news of the illness of the Sultan. The Sultan on the contrary is in good health and Assim Pacha asks if Carathéodory will refute other negative messages. He also asks the name of the correspondent in Paris, because he reported negative towards the Ottoman Empire in the past.
