Synopsis
Carathéodory informs Saïd Pacha of a rather unsuccessful manifestation of labourers that took place the same day. From the announced 15000 protesters only 5000 showed up. The police maintained the order and no incidents took place.

La grande manifestation ouvrière vient d’avoir lieu ; au lieu de quatre vingt mille annoncées à peine 15.000 participants. Beaucoup de drapeaux rouges ; peu d’enthousiasme ; indifférence complète du public ; aucun accident ; mesures nécessaires prises par le Gouvernement pour maintenir ordre ce soir.
