Synopsis

Canons Krupp et malversations

The Belgian press was stirred up by the discovery of certain abuses and embezzlement in Belgian army deliveries. The Krupp cannons that were bought in 1908 were too large and too heavy to be used in Belgium’s fortresses. They were meant for warships. Moreover, the price had been raised and Belgium had paid for non-existent deliveries. The Belgian government now negotiated about the resale of the cannons and started an examination of the incriminating facts.
