Synopsis

In a telegram, Seïfeddin Bey informs Saïd Halim Pacha about an incident in the Belgian House of Representatives. An MP seemed to have insulted ‘the French system’. The Speaker considered it an insult towards a befriended country. All other MPs shouted ‘Vive la France’ for approximately twelve minutes. The deputy in question had to recall his words.
