Démission du Cabinet belge
Essad Bey reports about the resignation of the Belgian Schollaert government. In the Belgian House of Representatives, Schollaert asked to adjourn the debates until a new government was formed. He received an enthusiastic standing ovation from the Catholics. Essad Bey refers to the bill on financial aid for primary education, that led to the fall of the government. King Albert charged Baron Charles de Broqueville (who was Minister of Railways, Post Services and Telegraph Services in the previous government) with forming a new government. Essad Bey notes his speculations concerning the formation, and mentions that he expects Davigon to remain Minister for Foreign Affairs. The new government would again be a Catholic one. Consequently, apart from the abandonment of the bill on education, neither the interior politics nor the exterior politics would change.
