Remaniement du Ministère Belge. - Une annexe

Etienne Carathéodory Effendi reports that the Belgian public opinion and the majority of Belgian MPs were against the project of taking over Congo Free State. Consequently, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Henri de Merode, resigned. Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Jules De Burlet, became the new Minister for Foreign Affairs. Frans Schollaert became the new Minister of the Interior, whereas a Ministry of Industry and Work was created, led by Albert Nyssens. (In attachment are the Royal orders, presenting the new Ministers.)
