Synopsis

Racanie Effendi informs Saïd Pacha about the explosion of the Corvilain cartridge factory in Antwerp. The explosion destroyed the factory, containing 3 million cartridges, and killed all the workers (among whom were more than 200 women and children). The large petroleum depots close to the factory also caught fire. Racanie Effendi was told that there were more than 400 victims, and that the material damage ran into millions.
