Crise présidentielle en France.
Etienne Carathéodory Effendi reports about the presidential crisis in France. The discredited president Jules Grévy would have to resign, although some expected his re-election. In Belgium, the belief in his re-election was almost non-existent. If Grévy would win after all, this would lead to civil war, according to Carathéodory. He expects Prime Minister Freycinet to be the alternative, and hopes that, no matter the outcome, the optimists would be proved right.
