Synopsis
Ouverture de la session extraordinaire des Chambres.
Etienne Carathéodory Effendi informs Assim Pacha about the extraordinary session of the Belgian parliament. After the verification of the credentials, the government proposed to re-establish Belgium’s diplomatic relations with the Vatican. At the Te Deum of July 21st, Malou already courteously informed Carathéodory of the government’s determination to do this. Everything had already been arranged. Only the Belgian minister in Rome and the Belgian papal nuncio had to be assigned. Malou also told Carathéodory about the government’s plans to alter the law on education again.
