Réussite du nouvel emprunt de 60 millions.
Etienne Carathéodory Effendi notes that the Belgian government had great success with the emission of a public loan (of 60.000.000 francs) at four percent, which was better than the usual 3,5 or 3,75 percent and led to more subscribers. According to Carathéodory, this triumph for Minister of Finance Graux and the liberal government testified to Belgium’s prosperity.
