Synopsis

Le discours Royal à Gand. - une annexe.

Alexandre Carathéodory Effendi reports about the speech King Leopold II pronounced in Ghent, in honour of the festivities for the fiftieth anniversary of Belgium’s independence that continued to be celebrated in Ghent. (The enclosed text of the King’s speech is not photographed.) His mention of the military condition gave way to worries and speculations about the aggravation of the military expenses.
