Synopsis

Départ de S.A.I. et R. l'Archiduc Rodolphe.

Archduke Rudolf, Crown Prince of Austria-Hungary, and fiancé of the Belgian Princess Stéphanie had to leave Brussels one day earlier to be able to attend the funeral of his aide-de-camp Major Bakalowitch. Afterwards, Archduke Rudolf would make a trip to the Orient. He told Etienne Carathéodory Effendi that he would stay for two months and then return to Vienna for Easter. He would arrive in Egypt first, and would not visit Istanbul or Athens. There was no new date fixed for the marriage of Archduke Rudolph and Princess Stéphanie, but Carathéodory suspects that the marriage would take place at the end of May, when Princess Stéphanie would become 17 years old.
