The newspaper Le Nord published a letter from the Herzegovinian rebels to their leader, Wesselitsky-Bogidarovitch, who extended his domain of activity to Bosnia. Etienne Carathéodory Effendi notes that, different from other rebels, the Herzegovinian rebels restricted their demands. The motives for this change were still unknown.
