Glavany informs Aali Pacha about the results of the French elections. Since this news, there had been no incidents in Paris so far, apart from some demonstrations. In Dublin, there were demonstrations from many protestants against Gladstones bill. The bill that abolished state religion in Ireland, was now discussed in the House of Lords. Glavany describes the debates. In Germany, there were so many parliamentary debates (about the new taxes) that it could be said that Bismarck gave the Germans an indigestion of parliamentarism. Glavany observes a contradiction: the army that made Germany big was now accused of being too expensive. Also in Hungary, there were still many parliamentary discussions and differences. At the end of his report, Glavany writes about rumours and news concerning the Spanish throne. Marshal Serrano had been appointed as regent, which gave him all royal privileges except for the privilege to dissolve the parliament.
