Letters from the Imperial Legation in Brussels (1849–1914)
Synopsis
Mihran reports that he received many courtesy visits by Belgian notables, such as the ministers of War and Justice, representatives of the palace and the Roumanian and Germand envoys to Brussels, and even Emile De Borchgrave, former Belgian minister to Constantinople. All of them congratulated the sultan for having escaped the assassination attempt of July 21 in Istanbul.

A l’occasion de l’odieux attentat dont la divine providence a préservé les jours précieux de Notre Auguste Maître. J’ai eu hier et aujourd’hui de nombreuses visites de félicitations entre autres celle de l’aide de camp général du Prince Albert de la part de Son Altesse Royale, des Ministres de la Guerre et de la Justice, des représentants d’Allemagne et de Roumanie et du Baron Borchgrave, ancien ministre de Belgique à Constantinople.
